Welcome to the Heart of the City Piano Program Vancouver!

The Heart of the City Piano Program (HCPP) provides a way for members of the community to share their love for music with children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to learn to play piano or guitar. Volunteer teachers from the Vancouver area offer free piano and guitar lessons at inner-city elementary schools while acting as mentors and role models to students.

HCPP operates in multiple cities across Canada, with the Vancouver chapter established as of September 2008. Organized by students at the University of British Columbia (UBC), HCPP is a sanctioned UBC Alma Mater Society club partnered with the Vancouver School Board.
